Website Migration & Consolidation: Unifying Digital Presence
One of the biggest hurdles WBI Warm faced was a fragmented website architecture, spread across three different domains. To enhance SEO performance, we executed a full-scale domain migration strategy to condense content into one domain, which included:
- Conducting an in-depth analysis of 71 URLs to determine necessary migrations.
- Implementing 301 redirects to ensure seamless transition and preserve link equity.
- Taking down outdated URLs and relaunching content under one core domain (wbiwarm.com).
- Enhancing header and footer menus for better user navigation.
The web page migration project strategically combined three WBI-owned domains into one central corporate web presence, on WBIWarm.com. We analysed all URLs of the three domains, especially those on WBI’s two other domains. Based on factors such as clicks, content depth and relevance, 71 URLs were identified to migrated over to WBIwarm.com, providing an quick boost to search performance. The two other domains remain live but have the primary purpose of lead generation via PPC ads.
